What version of V-ray are these textures compatible with?

All our textures are in .vrmat format, therefore they are compatible for V-ray versions 3.0 up to the most recent one, which today is 5.1

Are they only compatible with sketchup?

No, vrmat files are supported for Sketchup V-ray, Rhinoceros, 3Ds Max, and MAYA, although for 3Ds MAX it is only supported up to version 2016.
